Tall, handsome, and with a great speaking voice, Gregory Peck was the embodiment of the good guy/hero. Although initially called "wooden" by critics, Gregory Peck overcame that label, establishing a long career as a popular, and critically acclaimed leading man.

His defining role was as a small town lawyer in "To Kill A Mockingbird", for which he won the Best Actor Oscar. Other notable roles include "On The Beach," "The Guns of Navarone," and "Cape Fear." Gregory Peck, late in his career played the role of a Nazi doctor in "The Boys from Brazil", one of his rare villains. He was surprisingly effective.
