Audrey Hepburn -

Audrey Hepburn had a classy, elf-like screen presence, as well as a lot of talent, which propelled her to success in the 1950's and 1960's, mainly in romance/comedy films.

Her defining role was in the 1953 comedy / romance, ROMAN HOLIDAY, where Audrey Hepburn played a young, runaway princess, opposite Gregory Peck. She won a Best Actress Oscar.

Audrey Hepburn received Best Actress nominations for FUNNY FACE, NUN'S STORY, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, and WAIT UNTIL DARK. Her other notable films include MY FAIR LADY and LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON.

At the end of the 1960's she basically retired, but still occasionally did another film, such as ROBIN & MARIAN. More
