"Father Of The Bride."

With Katharine Hepburn.

Even before Tracy had made any of his 73 movies or received one of his nine Academy Award nominations, Tracy's very first director told him... "Spencer Tracy, you're the best damn actor I ever saw." Pretty big compliment for a rookie. Tracy could challenge, charm, and inspire audiences of all ages. His viewpoint on successful acting was simply "know your lines and don't bump into the furniture". He went on to make nine movies with the infamous Katharine Hepburn. "He's an actor's star. He is a people's star. His quality is clear and direct. Ask a question-get an answer. No pause." -Katharine once said of Tracy.

Though he had his own set of personal demons (i.e. alcohol), his acting was always seemingly flawless and projected that of "great truth". Movies, like 1936's "Fury", 1937's "Captains Courageous", 1938's "Boys Town", 1949's "Adam's Rib", and 1950's "Father of the Bride" are just a few of his greatest works that made a permanent mark on Hollywood that will remain interminably flawless and untouched.
